Wednesday September 13th 2017 was World Sepsis Day. This is an initiative by the Global Sepsis Alliance which takes place each September with the aim of raising the awareness around this serious and sometimes fatal condition.

The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) has warned its 20,000 members that NHS Trusts are failing to respect new standards on patient consent.

Under new government proposals, cosmetic surgery clinics which fail to provide acceptable standards of care will be publically named.
